Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative (RWHC) recently recognized Chris Keller (right), nurse manager at Marshfield Medical Center-Neillsville, with the 2025 Rural Health Ambassador Award.

RWHC has established the Rural Health Ambassador Award to recognize employees at member hospitals who have gone above the call of duty in promoting their respective organizations and who made significant contributions to rural health care in general.

According to the nomination, "It hasn't mattered what role Chris was in, he was always willing to go above and beyond to support our organization and community."

"Chris is actively involved in the Local Emergency Preparedness team for Clark County and the Wisconsin Healthcare Emergency Preparedness Program (HERC)."

"The overall goal of these organizations is to help Wisconsin communities prepare for, respond to, and recover from a disaster as quickly as possible. As a result of participation, Chris participates in Medical Response Surge Exercises.”

“Chris has also manned booths at our local County Fair and Clark Electric Cooperative aimed at educating the public on health and safety topics, including "stop the bleed" initiatives and bike safety."

Presenting the award to Chris is Jeremy Levin, director of advocacy for the Rural Wisconsin Health Cooperative.
