(Mike Leischner, WSAU) Wausau Police arrested a 37-year-old man at his home after neighbors reported seeing him “all over the road.”

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, officers say Julius Alloway blew a .24 on a breath test, well above his personal limit of .02, following a traffic incident on June 22nd in a west-side neighborhood.

A witness told police that they saw a pickup, allegedly driven by Alloway, swerving along Rosecrans and S 6th Avenue before parking. When officers made contact with the suspect, they observed dried vomit on his shirt.

They also said he was unsteady on his feet and struggled to open the door. Further investigation showed that Alloway tried to buy alcohol at two nearby convenience stores but was denied service due to signs of impairment.

He is free on a $3,000 cash bond. A telephone scheduling conference is scheduled for July 9th. Court records show his previous OWI convictions date back to 2008.

His record also includes convictions for misdemeanor battery and criminal property damage. If found guilty on the most recent charge, he faces up to ten years in prison and $25,000 in fines.
