The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce is warning of a scam making the rounds.

If you or your business is a WE Energies customer, please be aware of a scam that is occurring. You may receive a phone call being informed that you will be shut-off due to non-payment. They will then request you to call the service desk to make a payment.

Remember, never give out personal information or make payments by gift cards. If you question a call, It is best to hang up and call WE Energies directly. Law Enforcement agencies have been notified.
