KREITLOW GETS LEADERSHIP SPOT

An area State Senator is getting a leadership position.State Senator Pat Kreitlow (D-Chippewa Falls) was elected Senate President Pro Temp Tuesday by members of the Senate Democratic Caucus.
Kreitlow, who is serving in his first term in the Senate, decided to run for the position at the urging of several of his fellow Senate Democrats, according to a press release.
The Senate President Pro Tempore is both a formal Officer of the Senate, as well as member of leadership within the Senate Democratic Caucus. The official duties of the President Pro Tempore include presiding over the Senate in place of the President when he or she is unable to.
