Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield Officially Opens Its Doors

Monday, June 16, 2025 marked a historic day for the Marshfield community as the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield officially opened its doors for the first time at Grant Elementary School.

Out of 85 youth registered, 68 Club members attended the first day of programming, where they were warmly welcomed by staff. Throughout the afternoon, members participated in a wide range of engaging activities and programs designed to inspire learning, creativity, and fun.

Youth explored several program areas based on their interests, including Cooking Club, Triple Play, Art Club, and Intramural League. Every space buzzed with energy as Club members began to settle into the rhythm of the Club.

As the day progressed, staff observed members becoming more comfortable, engaged, and enthusiastic to participate. Looking ahead, the Boys & Girls Club of Marshfield has a full lineup of exciting summer activities planned.

Upcoming field trips include visits to Melody Gardens, Rogers Cinema, the Vandehey Waters Outdoor Aquatic Center, and participation in the Boys & Girls Club Field Day in Stevens Point.

In collaboration with the Marshfield Fire Department, the Club is also planning to host a pop-up splash pad event at Grant Elementary sometime this summer.

Members of the Marshfield YMCA youth programs and the broader community will be invited to join in the fun on that day. The Club’s leadership team was thrilled to see such an incredible turnout and positive energy on opening day.

They are excited to continue building connections with members and are committed to providing a fun, supportive space where every child can feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn and grow all summer long.
