Be Prepared for the Extreme Heat this Weekend
Friday, June 20th, 2025 -- 2:01 PM

Wisconsinites need to prepare for extreme heat this weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, the combination of high temperatures in the 90s and humid conditions will allow heat indices to become dangerous in some locations this weekend.
Heat indices will reach from the middle 90s to around 105°F across the area with little relief expected during the overnight hours with lows only in the middle 70s to near 80 degrees.
Remember to drink plenty of water, wear loose and lightweight clothing, and limit your time outdoors. Make sure to check on those especially vulnerable to high temperatures like the elderly, children, and pregnant women.
Don’t forget about your pets and farm animals. Make sure they have plenty of water to drink as well and never leave your pets in a hot vehicle. Also, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation reminds motorists to watch for the possible buckling of Wisconsin’s roads.
