Marshfield Man Arrested for Possession After Traffic Stop

A Marshfield man was arrested for possession after a traffic stop on Thursday.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Thursday, June 12th, just after Noon, a vehicle was stopped on N. Central Avenue for an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, K9 Rika alerted to the odor of a restricted controlled substance coming from within the vehicle. A 43-year-old Marshfield male was arrested as a result of the subsequent search of the vehicle.

He was transported to the Wood County Jail. A request for charges will be sent to the Wood County D.A.'s office on the male for possession of methamphetamine and bail jumping.
