Wood County Sheriff's Department Swears in New Full-Time Deputy

Wood County Sheriff’s employee Alexa Matthews was sworn in as a full-time deputy.

Deputy Matthews was born and raised in Wood County. She attended Lincoln High School and graduated Mid-State Technical College and the 720 Law-Enforcement Academy this spring. Deputy Matthews was previously a Part-Time Deputy for Wood County.

She likes spending time with friends and family, being outside, and staying active.
