Wausau Police Department Congratulates Officer on Completion of Basic Law Enforcement Academy

The Wausau Police Department congratulates Officer Savannah Reed on her successful completion of the Basic Law Enforcement Academy.

Officer Reed attended the academy at Mid-State Technical College and was recognized along with her fellow recruits at a ceremony. Officer Reed was selected by her peers to represent the academy class as a class officer, serving as treasurer.

She was acknowledged for her leadership and was awarded a plaque honoring her service. The Department is very excited to have Officer Reed begin her field training (she’s pretty excited, too).

She will be patrolling Wausau and learning the ins & outs of her new profession in the very near future.
