Neillsville Police Department Warns of Fake Money Circulating in the Area

-The Neillsville Police Department has warned that fake money is circulating in the Neillsville area.
Local businesses should scrutinize U.S. currency, especially $100 bills. Fake bills have been discovered in circulation. You can identify fake bills as they are labeled clearly with "For Motion Picture Use Only." The phrase appears across the top on the front and along the bottom on the back.
They may look convincing at a quick glance, particularly in busy settings. Chief Jim Mankowski from the Neillsville Police Department says that while possession is not illegal, attempting to use the bills as real money is a crime.
Local business managers alerted authorities after encountering the fake currency. You should double-check all large bills before accepting them. If you find one, hold onto it and call the local police and they will collect it from you.
