Two Juveniles Injured in Wood County ATV Crash

Friday, May 16th, 2025 -- 6:00 PM

On May 15, 2025, at 8:15 p.m. The Wood County Dispatch Center received a call of an ATV crash on Seneca Road near the Range Road Intersection.

Wood County Deputies and medical personnel responded to the area. At the scene it was determined two individuals had been injured from the crash. Due to the injuries sustained one of the individuals was flown via Aspirus MedEvac to an area hospital.

On scene investigation was conducted and it was determined the ATV was traveling westbound on Seneca Road, near the Range Road Intersection. While traveling westbound the operator of the ATV lost control and crashed.

The crash caused the ATV to land on both individuals, and they became trapped. This crash remains under investigation. The names of the individuals will not be released as they are 12-year-old and 15-year-old juveniles.

Assisting at the scene included: Nekoosa Police Department, Wood County Rescue, Port Edwards First Responders, Port Fired Department, Aspirus MedEvac, United Ambulance, Wood County Dispatch and Nieman's Tow Service.
