Marshfield’s Yellowstone Industrial Park is designated a Certified Site, identifying the more than 120 acres as shovel-ready for development.
Development on these acres can create jobs, add to the city’s tax base, and spur further economic growth. WEDC’s Certified Site designation means the City of Marshfield can welcome offers from local firms looking to expand and new companies looking to move to Marshfield.
“The Certified Sites Program enables communities to help existing businesses grow and to attract new businesses by designating areas as shovel-ready for development,” Secretary Hughes said.
“Earning the Certified Sites designation demonstrates that a community is ready to take that ‘next step’ in building an economy where everyone can thrive.”
The site’s designation grants the City inclusion in WEDC’s Certified Sites marketing efforts, helping attract the attention of potential investors to the Yellowstone Industrial Park.
These prequalified sites are particularly attractive to businesses seeking expansion opportunities, especially those looking to move quickly, typically shaving months off the development timeline and providing cost savings in the site investigation and planning process.
