Nursing Students Hold "Teddy Bear Clinic" for Neillsville Students
Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 -- 4:00 PM

Recently, nursing students, soon to complete their program, visited the Neillsville School District to host a special "Teddy Bear Clinic" for kindergarten and 1st grade students.
The purpose of the clinic was to help young children feel more comfortable around nurses and doctors by giving them a fun and friendly look at what a typical check-up might involve.
Students brought in their own stuffed animals, which the nursing students examined, diagnosed, and treated with care. Some "patients" left with slings, casts, or neck braces, while others were simply in for a check-up or a tummy ache.
Each stuffed animal got the special attention it needed and a little "medicine" candy treat to help it feel better. It was a wonderful experience for everyone involved.
