Friday, May 2nd, 2025 -- 9:00 AM

Congratulations to Wausau Detective Jon Kindlarski on achieving his 6-stripe milestone, signifying 30-years of law enforcement service.
Detective Kindlarski began his career in April 1995 as a Law Enforcement Ranger with the Wisconsin DNR. That December he joined the Vilas County Sheriff's Office where he would later reach the rank of Detective Sgt.
He joined the Wausau PD in April 2008 and was promoted to Detective in August 2014. Detective Kindlarski continues in that role, with his primary assignment working as the department's evidence custodian. They thank Detective Kindlarski for choosing to serve along side them in the City of Wausau.
Background of Service Stripes: For every 5 years of law enforcement service, the Department presents their staff with a gold service stripe to be worn on their long-sleeve uniform.
Service stripes are small, but each stripe is significant and symbolizes a tremendous amount of positive impacts each officer has made in our community
