Tomah Man Arrested on Suspicion of Attempted Homicide

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) A Tomah man is in custody on the suspicion of attempted homicide, according to WEAU staff.

According to Tomah Police, on April 26, 2025, at around 9:15 p.m., Tomah Officers were called to an address on the 800 block of Dogwood Lane for a physical disturbance between two men who live together.

The suspect fled before law enforcement got to the address. Tomah police say the victim suffered injuries to his face and a suspected stab wound to his chest.

The victim was treated at the Tomah Health Emergency Department and released. According to Tomah police, on April 27, 2025, the suspect was found in Black River Falls by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office and was taken into custody.

The suspect, identified as 51-year-old Edwin Ross of Tomah, Wis., is being held in the Monroe County Jail on the suspicion of 1st degree intentional homicide – attempted, reckless injury, aggravated battery, battery, and disorderly conduct.
