Marathon County Sheriff’s Department Holds Successful Badges and Bullseyes

Marathon County’s Badges and Bullseyes 2025 was a huge success.

Twelve local kids spent the day learning archery skills this weekend, starting with targets and moving on to balloons and zombie-themed challenges. The Marathon County Sheriff’s Office hosted the event with help from Wausau PD.

Staff from Patrol, Communications, Corrections, and Wausau PD Patrol, along with Matthew Kecker from the Rib Mountain Bowmans Club, all pitched in. The Sheriff’s Office provided lunch, with help from Corrections Officer Michael Peterson and Lt. Michael Van Offeren.
