One Arrested After High Speed Chase in Colby

Friday, April 25th, 2025 -- 5:00 PM

On April 14th, at approximately 4:30 pm, Colby-Abbotsford Officer English was assisting Clark County in locating a black 4 door vehicle with rear bumper damage traveling at a high rate of speed from Hwy 29 to Hwy E.

Officer English located the vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed on the west side of Colby. Officer English notified dispatch he was in pursuit of the vehicle east on Spence St, Colby.

The vehicle continued east at a high rate of speed, hit a manure pipe going across the road, causing damage to all 4 tires, losing control and driving into the yard of a residence.

The suspect ran from his vehicle. At this time, Officer English deployed K9 Hemi to assist in the pursuit of the suspect. Officer English utilized K9 Hemi in tracking the suspect through an open field and wooded area.

Officer English and K9 Hemi located the suspect and Lt Wagner placed handcuffs on him for the arrest. The suspect has been charged with Vehicle Operator Flee/Elude Officer - repeater, Possess Firearm-Convicted of Out-of-State Felony - repeater, Possession of THC - repeater and several traffic offenses.
