MURDER OF WITHEE MAN IS KEPT QUIET
Friday, October 17th, 2008 -- 12:19 PM
Investigators have been strangely silent about a Northwoods murder. In a rural region of the state where homicides are thankfully few and far between, authorities have been mum about their investigation into the death of Terrance Boushon. In fact, officials never even announced Boushon was murdered.
The Withee man?s remains were found north of Medford in 2006.
Although he was likely killed in 2005, a death certificate wasn?t filed until just last month. It shows the 41-year-old died of blunt force trauma to the chest. His death was ruled a homicide.
Sheriff Bruce Daniels says there?s really no new information.
"Not at this point, other than to say it's still an active investigation. Any leads that come in will be actively followed up on," he says.
Daniels doesn?t want to say if they have suspects, but has said the remains were found on private land owned by ?acquaintances?. When asked if the property was owned by a love interest of Boushon, Daniels says ?potentially?.
He also won?t say if there?s evidence the Clark County resident was murdered Clark or Taylor County or if investigators believe his murder was random.
