Colby 6th Grade Attend STEM Fest

On Friday, April 11, Colby’s 6th grade attended STEM Fest at NTC, hosted by the Michigan Tech Mind Trekkers.

About 150 undergraduate and graduate students from Michigan Tech volunteer their time to lead students in a day of hands-on engagement while they learn about STEM and in-demand career fields.

Students explored campus while engaging in an enormous variety of experiments, all of which culminated in a liquid nitrogen explosion demonstration. After a lunch break at Culvers and Taco Bell, students enjoyed the spring air at Doepke Park.
