Wausau Police Captain Discusses Victim Services During Roundtable Event

The Wausau Police Department was proud to have Capt. Ben Graham represent the Department at a roundtable discussion of the growing funding crisis affecting victim services providers/programs across Wisconsin.

Capt. Graham shared perspective with Wisconsin Attorney General Josh Kaul and Representative Patrick Snyder regarding how the funding challenges have impacted the department’s Victim Resource Unit (VRU).

They thank their local elected leaders for their support in helping keep the VRU funded. This allows the vital work of serving crime victims to continue. They are grateful to The Women’s Community, Inc. for hosting the event.

The work they do, along with the other area victim services providers that were represented, is inspiring and in need of ongoing financial support. They appreciate the efforts of state officials in hearing feedback and exploring solutions.
