Granton FFA Hosts Ag Expo for Elementary Students
Friday, April 18th, 2025 -- 11:01 AM

Last week, the Granton FFA hosted an Ag Expo for students grades K-5.
Students attended stations that taught about different agricultural pathways and offered hands-on activities within those areas. Some of the activities included making butter, planting succulents, identifying wildlife tracks, and even making their own edible TMR.
As part of its Food for America program, the FFA strives to offer an educational program every spring for elementary students, whether that be a farm tour, agribusiness tours, or the Ag Expo.
This year, the FFA teamed up with the Art Department to allow every student to paint their own terracotta pot, which they later transplanted succulents from our greenhouse into the pot.
The FFA would like to extend a thank you to the family and friends of Maynard Parker. Maynard was a Granton area farmer who passed away in February. In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to the Granton FFA.
The funds from these generous donations were used to provide all of the materials for this year's Ag Expo.
