Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Brush Fire Monday Afternoon

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a brush fire Monday afternoon.

According to Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received the call around 2:52pm Monday afternoon of a brush fire 200 yards north of Highway 10 off of Abbott Ranch Road in the Township of Mentor. The Department was providing mutual aid to the DNR for this fire.

They were on scene for an hour and had no injuries on their part. The fire burned a one acre area. The cause of the fire is undetermined at this time.
