Person of Interest in Taylor County Deaths Found Dead on Saturday

(Heather Poltrock, WSAW) The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office identified the two people murdered inside their Town of Pershing home on Wednesday, April 9. The sheriff also said the person responsible for their deaths was found dead on Saturday.

According to Heather Poltrock with WSAW, on April 9, dispatch received a call reporting two people with severe injuries. When deputies arrived, it was clear the two were already dead. Authorities said the two bodies were at a home on the 14000 block of County Road M in the Town of Pershing. That location is northwest of Gilman.

In a release on Saturday, April 12, Sheriff Corey Dassow identified the two people killed as Josh Mann, 44, and Rebecca Mann, 43. Sheriff Dassow said their deaths were homicides and 15-year-old Kadyn Hadden was responsible.

Early Saturday morning, the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office named Kadyn Hadden as a person of interest in the death investigation. Investigators were looking for him and a silver 2012 Chevrolet Impala.

Sheriff Dassow said that around 12:40 p.m. on Saturday, the car was found on private property in Price County, and Hadden was found dead inside. It’s believed he died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Dassow said Hadden acted alone in the homicide.

This incident remains under investigation with assistance from the Wisconsin Department of Justice- Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Wisconsin State Patrol (WSP), Clark County Sheriff’s Office, Price County Sherif’s Office, Wood County Sheriff’s Office, Barron County Sheriff’s Office, Stanley Police Department, Rice Lake Police Department, Gilman Police Department, Medford Police Department, Taylor County District Attorne’s Offire, and Tavlor Countv Medical Examiner’s Office.
