Gov. Evers, WisDOT Announce Quarterly Transportation Aids To Improve Local Roads

Gov. Tony Evers, together with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), on Friday announced counties and municipalities across the state received more than $108 million for General Transportation, Connecting Highway, and Expressway Policing Aids to help repair, maintain, and improve local roads and highways in every corner of Wisconsin.
General Transportation Aids help cover the costs of constructing, maintaining, and operating roads and streets under local jurisdiction.
Some of the April payments in our area include for the City of Neillsville $42,370.80, City of Greenwood $33,517.66, City of Loyal $28,454.35, Village of Granton $5,234.86, Village of Fairchild $6,451.78, Village of Merrillan $7,225.59, City of Black River Falls $114,058.73 and the City of Marshfield $360,092.25. Quarterly payments for cities, villages, and towns are made in four installments on the first Monday in January, April, July, and October.
