Spring Turkey Season Opens April 16
Saturday, April 12th, 2025 -- 7:37 AM

The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR) reminds turkey hunters that the 2025 spring turkey season opens this coming Wednesday, April 16. The regular season is open through May 27, and all seven turkey management zones will be open for hunting during the spring season.
To provide a high-quality hunting experience, enhance access opportunities and maintain a healthy turkey population, the 2025 spring turkey season is comprised of six seven-day periods running Wednesday through the following Tuesday.
There is a youth turkey hunt this weekend. Youth hunters may use a harvest authorization for any period during the youth hunt, but they must hunt within the turkey management zone indicated on their harvest authorization. A youth hunter may fill one harvest authorization during the youth season.
