Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Investigating the Death of Two People Found in a Home

(Karen Madden, Marshfield News-Herald) The Taylor County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of two people found inside a home Wednesday evening.

According to Karen Madden with the Marshfield News-Herald, at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, a 911 caller called for emergency medical services in the 14000 block of Taylor County M in the town of Pershing, about 50 miles northwest of Colby, according to a Taylor County Sheriff's Office news release.

Taylor County deputies, along with Taylor County Emergency Medical Services, responded to the scene. When they arrived, they found two adults dead inside the home, according to the news release.

The incident remains under investigation, although officials don't believe there is an immediate danger to the public, according to the news release. Officials ask anyone with information regarding the deaths to contact the Taylor County Sheriff's Office dispatch center at 715-748-2200, extension 5.

The Wisconsin Department of Justice Division of Criminal Investigation, Wisconsin State Crime Lab, Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Wisconsin State Patrol, Wood County Sheriff's Office, Barron County Sheriff's Office, Stanley Police Department, Rice Lake Police Department, Gilman Police Department, Taylor County District Attorney's Office and Taylor County Medical Examiner's Office are all assisting in the investigation, according to the news release.
