(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Plover man has been sentenced to three years in prison for two counts of possessing child pornography.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Hayden Witzel-Marr entered a no contest plea for two counts of possession of child pornography. Four additional counts were dismissed but read into the record in exchange for the plea.
The 21-year-old was arrested last summer after a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force showed his IP address may be connected to a child porn ring.
Officers executed a search warrant at his home in August and found multiple images. Witzel-Marr was home at the time of the incident and admitted to receiving and distributing images of children between the ages of six and 12.
His sentence includes ten years of supervised release following his prison term. During that time, he will not be allowed unauthorized access to the internet and must maintain full-time employment or schooling. He must also complete all treatment or therapy.
