This is an update to the January 30th incident at the Tomah Middle School.

City of Tomah Investigators have identified a juvenile male responsible for the incident on January 30, 2025, at the Tomah Middle School. This incident involved locating a single bullet in a bathroom.

Additional items of evidence have been collected, and witnesses have come forward. This case will be referred to Monroe County Human Service-Youth Justice.

The Tomah Police Department has been actively investigating this incident since it was reported. Tomah Middle School Administration has been directly involved throughout this process, and we greatly appreciate their partnership.

The parents of the juvenile are also involved and cooperating. There have been two other incidents involving a bullet(s), one at Tomah High School and another at the Tomah Middle School.

Those cases are open and actively being investigated. These cases are only solved through the cooperation of students and others who have knowledge of these events.

We want to thank the brave students who were willing to come forward and do the right thing. Anyone with information regarding any of these incidents is strongly encouraged to report it.
