The Black River Area Chamber of Commerce (BRACC) is honored to continue the legacy of Fern Helbling by awarding scholarships in her name.
A compassionate and dedicated local nurse, Fern Helbling cared deeply about her community and believed in the value of education. Upon her passing in 1999, a portion of her estate was set aside to support local students, ensuring her commitment to learning and opportunity would live on for generations. This year, BRACC awarded four scholarships - one in the Women’s Scholarship category and three in the Business Scholarship category.
