Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Vehicle in Cunningham Creek

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a vehicle in a creek just south of Neillsville Sunday afternoon.
According to the Department, on Sunday, March 30th, around 12:15pm, they received a call of a vehicle in Cunningham Creek, 2 miles south of Neillsville on Highway 73.
The vehicle had missed the curve and drove down in the creek. There was no occupant in the vehicle; they had left the vehicle. The department secured the vehicle and stood by with traffic control.
The road was shut down to one lane of traffic for two hours and completely shut down for 45 minutes. The Department had no injuries on their part and injuries to the driver are unknown.
They received mutual aid from the Clark County Sheriff’s Department, Neillsville Ambulance Service, and a wrecker service.
