Mid-State Technical College is showcasing the Advanced Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, and Apprenticeship (AMETA™) Center experience with a series of program videos.
“We are excited to showcase the skill-based learning of our AMETA Center programs,” said Ryan Kawski, dean of the School of Applied Technology. “For those who can’t make it to an in-person tour, the video series is a great way to see what happens in the Center’s classrooms and labs. We’re also proud to feature our instructors who bring years of real-world experience to their programs.”
Students in AMETA Center programs work with industry-standard software, manufacturing robots and machines commonly used in the field. They also get hands-on experience in welding, cutting and forming metal, running CNC machines, designing and modeling on computer software and using GPS units, total stations and drones.
The video series highlights students engaging in many of these activities in the Center’s classrooms and labs, while instructors discuss key program features.
Programs featured in the videos series include:
- Advanced Manufacturing Technology
- Automation & Instrumentation Technology
- Civil Engineering Technology-Highway Technician
- Manufacturing Operations Management
- Mechanical Design Technology
- Metal Fabrication
