MAN CHARGED IN ACCIDENT WITH ASSISTANT D.A.

A Jackson County man has been charged with drunk driving after an August crash left the assistant district attorney with injuries.According to the criminal complaint, Lucas Shankey was on a Jackson County road when he tried to pass a truck driven by Margaret Rewald.
The two vehicles collided. Rewald, who is the assistant district attorney in Jackson County, says her truck spun around and lost a tire. She and another passenger suffered injuries.
Shankey had a blood alcohol content of 0.24--three times the legal limit.
He's been convicted of operating while intoxicated three times, including once this year.
He'll be in court later this month.
