Jackson County Celebrates Women in History Month

The month of March has been declared Jackson County Women in History Month.

On Wednesday, March 12, 2025, Jackson County was honored to have presented the 2025 Women in History awards to recipients Shawn Callisto, Charlene Galston, Laura Thompson, Diane Cain and Geri Allen.

Since 1996, approximately 150 women have been honored to receive this award for their unwavering dedication and support to the citizens and communities of Jackson County by providing their selfless volunteerism helping others.

They thank all the previous, present, and future Jackson County Women in History. They appreciate all that they do.
