Granton FFA Members Selected as Proficiency Award State Finalists

Granton FFA members were selected as proficiency award state finalists.

The following students placed in the top five of their category and will be announced in June. They include:

• Jordan Berg for Ag Communications,
• Mindy Dix for Ag Processing,
• Marshall Kleiman for Diary Production Entrepreneurship,
• Abby Schoessow for Equine Science Entrepreneurship,
• Emma Woller for Food Service,
• Kayden Marg for Food Production,
• Taylor Verhalen for Goat Production,
• Tori Seif for Vegetable Production.

Some other Granton Proficiency results include:

• Tori Seif, bronze, for Horticulture;
• Jessi Berg, silver, for Goat Production;
• Zoey Lumley, 6th gold for Ag Processing;
• Anna Kayhart, 7th gold for Dairy Production Placement;
• Iris Vine, 17th gold for Dairy Production Placement;
• Mindy Dix, 15th gold for Diversity Livestock Placement;
• Grace Verhalen, 6th gold for Equine Science Placement;
• And Peter Kayhart, 11th gold for Swine Entrepreneurship.

Finally, some Granton FFA members were selected for the State FFA Band and Choir Performance at their State Convention in June. Band members include:

• Jessi Berg for tuba,
• Emma Brookhart for clarinet,
• And Abby Woller for alto sax.

Choir members include:

• Emma Woller for soprano,
• And Zoey Lumley for alto.
