(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Wausau man facing a battery of child porn and THC-related charges appeared in Marathon County Court on Thursday.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, James West faces ten counts of possession of child pornography along with a felony count of possession of THC and possession with intent-THC.
He also faces a charge of bail jumping. Investigators were led to West through a cyber tip regarding images on his phone. A search yielded more than 140 photos, including some of children being sexually assaulted.
That led officers to secure a search warrant for his home. When they confronted him, they also found a large amount of marijuana. Conditions of his bond include no contact with minors and absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol.
During his court appearance on Thursday, he entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on April 4th.
