Recent Police Activity From the Marshfield Police Department

A Tennessee man was arrested in Marshfield after a traffic stop on Monday.
According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Monday, March 10th, around 2:07pm, a traffic stop was conducted at S. Central Ave. and 12th St. During the stop, K9 Rika alerted to the presence of a controlled substance coming from the vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted and a plethora of Kratom pills were located. A 67-year-old Tennessee male was arrested, booked, and released after posting the required bond.
Also on Monday, around 9:21pm, a traffic stop was conducted in the 800 block of S. Central Ave. for a non functioning high mounted stop lamp. Ultimately, the driver, a 38-year-old Chippewa Falls woman, was arrested for OWI 3rd offense with a passenger under 16 years of age.
A vehicle search was also conducted due to the odor of marijuna coming from the vehicle. The female was transported to the Wood County Jail for OWI 3rd, felony possession of THC, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Finally, an individual observed a homeless man going into unoccupied vehicles near Pick n Save. Contact was made with the man and he was placed under arrest for a valid warrant. Additional charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney's Office.
