(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Stanley man has been accused of a fifth OWI after he was pulled over on Wednesday for an outstanding warrant, according to Mike Leischner with WSAU.
According to a release from the Wisconsin State Patrol, officers stopped Brandon John Vizer on Highway 13 near Aspen Road in Price County. They initially pulled him over after realizing he was a suspect in a domestic violence incident, but while interacting with him, they observed signs of impairment.
The 42-year-old then failed a field sobriety test and was arrested on suspicion of a 5th OWI with a child under the age of 16 in the vehicle. He is also being detained on a department of corrections hold.
Officers turned a 10-month-old child over to a responsible adult following the incident. Court action against Vizer is pending. He faces up to 20 years in prison and $50,000 in fines if found guilty.
Court records indicate his last OWI came in 2016. Vizer pled no contest to the charge in 2018 and was given a withheld jail sentence along with two years of probation.
