Congratulations to Clark County Corrections Sergeant Mike Koprek on his retirement.

Corrections Sergeant Koprek began his career in the Clark County Sheriff’s Office on April 19, 2000 as a communications/corrections deputy. On April 4, 2001, he was promoted to sergeant in the Communications/Corrections Division.

He served in that role until he became a patrol officer on August 25, 2008. In the Patrol Division, he became a Field Training Officer and trained newly hired patrol deputies.

On September 10, 2015, Mike was promoted to detective. At that point, the Sheriff had the opportunity to work with Mike in the Detective Division and saw firsthand his professionalism and commitment to the citizens of Clark County and the cases he worked.

He displayed a true passion for his position as a detective. He served as a detective until December 1, 2018 when he became a corrections sergeant in the jail.

He finished his 25 year career at the Sheriff’s Office in that position. They thank him for his service to Clark County and wish him the best of luck in his retirement.
