Black River Falls Man Killed in Trempealeau County Crash

(WEAU Staff, WEAU) Authorities are naming the person involved in a fatal, single-vehicle crash in Trempealeau County.
According to WEAU staff, the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office identifies the crash victim as 45-year-old Michael Kirtley of Black River Falls. According to a press release from the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Office, on Feb. 25, 2025, at around 7:39 a.m., authorities received a report of a vehicle that crashed and was upside down in the ditch on Highway 53, just south of the intersection of Richter Road in the Town of Lincoln.
Authorities arrived to find a male who had been thrown from the vehicle and had died. Speed and alcohol were factors in the crash, according to the press release.
