Thursday, September 18th, 2008 -- 1:50 PM
The Central Wisconsin Horse Sale is underway at the Clark County Fairgrounds. The 4-day event runs through Saturday and brings in hundreds of horse lovers from all over the state and beyond.
They boast the largest selection of things like horse-drawn vehicles and machinery, horses of all kinds and tack in the Midwest.
Ken and Elaine come from the Green Bay area. They don?t have horses anymore, but find the sale an enjoyable way to spend a few days in fall.
"We just enjoy coming," Ken says, "We've always liked horses. We usually buy something everytime we come."
Ellaine says the couple camps at the Fairgrounds. She says the weather has been great this week.
While they don?t need saddles, halters or other equipment, they always find something to purchase.
"She bought a metal love seat and stool, a planter. She likes all that old antique stuff," Ken says.
"We always meet new people everytime we come, which is nice," Ellaine says.
The sale is owned and operated by Randy and Julie Reineck and has been in operation since 1980.
