Wausau Police Chief Jeff Hardel says a 9-year-old boy hurt in a duplex fire that killed 2 of his sisters has died.Hardel says Mitchell Melvin Block died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
The fire swept though the home late Tuesday night, killing 8-year-old Mackenzie Marie Block and 2-year-old Faith Elizabeth Fondie.
Hardel says the fire's cause remains under investigation. But he says it's believed to have started in the bedroom where a baby was sleeping. One possibility is an extension cord had too many things plugged into it.
The children's mother, her boyfriend and 4 of her children and three women upstairs were able to flee the two-story duplex.
