Local Companies Participating in 2025 United States Championship Cheese Contest

(Sean White, WSAW) As the 2025 United States Championship Cheese Contest® approaches, dairy product manufacturers in central Wisconsin are ready.

According to Sean White with WSAW, seven local businesses have submitted entries to be evaluated March 4-6 at the Resch Expo in Green Bay. Their products are among a total of 2,414 entries across 117 classes of dairy products.

The following businesses are set to compete among dairy processors from 31 U.S. states:

• Foremost Farms USA of Marshfield
• Lactalis American Group of Merrill
• Land O’Lakes of Spencer
• Lynn Dairy, Inc. of Granton
• Marieke Gouda of Thorp
• Nasonville Dairy of Curtiss and Marshfield
• Weber’s Farm Store of Marshfield

“We’re pleased to see dairy manufacturers across the country take advantage of this chance to improve their craftsmanship, grow their businesses, and achieve one of the cheese industry’s highest honors,” Contest Director Kirsten Strohmenger said.

Preliminary rounds of judging are open for public observation on March 4 and 5 from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Attendance is free, and samples and judging demonstrations will be available.

The announcement of the 2025 U.S. Champion will be livestreamed on March 6 at 2 p.m. at USChampionCheese.org.
