One of two people who led authorities on a high speed chase was sentenced in Jackson County County Court Thursday.
According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, back in March of last year, a deputy tried to make contact with Troy Hanson of Mindoro at a residence in North Bend.
The deputy made contact with Ashlyn Hanson at the home and the two fled in a vehicle. The vehicle was eventually found in Trempealeau County and pursued to Jackson County.
It was disabled with a tire deflation device and a PIT maneuver. When the chase ended, Ashlyn Hanson held Troy Hanson with an edged weapon before they both surrendered.
During her court appearance on Thursday, Ashlyn was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, 2nd-degree recklessly endangering safety, two counts of resisting or obstructing an officer, and disorderly conduct.
She was sentenced to 18 months of probation with a condition that she could terminate early, at 12 months, if she follows all the conditions of her probation.
