REFERENDUM IN LOYAL'S FUTURE
Tuesday, September 16th, 2008 -- 11:41 AM
It is the only local school district that hasn't asked for a revenue cap exemption, but it appears Loyal will go to voters with one next spring.Their deficit is projected to reach $400,000 by the next school year.
The timing might be right as a debt burden will come off the budget next year.
No dollar amount has been set.
Colby and Neillsville school district voters just approved revenue cap exemption referenda and five other area districts have held or will hold referendums this fall.
