Mister is the Pet of the Week from the Clark County Humane Society made possible by East Valley Veterinarian Clinic located at 2510 Black River Road just North of Neillsville and east of the Black River. (https://eastvalleyvetclinic.net/)

Name: Mister

Age: 2-Years-Old

Breed: Red Heeler Mix

Meet Mister, the CCHS Pet of the Week! Mister came to CCHS as a stray earlier this January from the Granton area. This stunning, 2-year-old Red Heeler mix currently weighs 44.2 #. He is so handsome with a short-haired red and white coat.

While we can't know for certain what his life was like before, we believe that Mister might have been a farm dog prior to ending up with us, as he didn't seem to understand what leashes, or even what a collar, was for.

Mister is a super smart guy and learns quickly. He now walks nicely on a leash and has learned to sit. He'll give paw for treats, and he really loves his Milkbone treats, or any treat for that matter!

Mister hopes to continue his training with his new family, as he likes to keep his mind busy. He just knows he can learn so much more about being a good dog, and he promises to try his best!

He'll be more successful in a calm, quiet home where he doesn't get overwhelmed with noisy activities. If you have just the right spot for a guy like Mister, please apply to adopt him today!

You can submit your adoption application on our website: www.cchs-petshelter.org/applying-to-adopt. We have lots and lots of animals at CCHS right now so be sure to check them all out. You are also welcome to stop in and visit with all of our animals during any of our open hours!

Do you have a love for cats and dogs and have been thinking it would be nice to help out at CCHS? Well, now's your chance! Whether it's a few hours a week, one day a month, or something in between, this is your opportunity to try it out.

We are very much in need of volunteers! You can learn more and sign up on our website: https://www.cchs-petshelter.org/volunteer or email April at [email protected]. Come join our CCHS volunteer family!

You can learn more about, and adopt, Mister, and all the animals at the shelter, at their website, www.cchs-petshelter.org. You can also apply for adoption in person.

Feel free to contact us with questions and/or comments.
