The Board of Education of the School District of Neillsville is pleased to announce the selection of two finalists to interview for the position of District Administrator of the School District of Neillsville.

From a deep list of qualified candidates, the Board conducted initial interviews on Saturday, February 15, 2025 and narrowed the slate to two finalists. The board has selected Dr. Andrew Grimm, current Superintendent of the School District of Winter and Corey Peterson, current Elementary Principal in the Melrose-Mindoro School District to participate in the final interview process and day in the district on March 3, 2025.

Dr. Andrew Grimm earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll College, a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from Aurora University and a Doctor of Education degree from Aurora University at George Williams College.

He has also earned a Certification from the University of Wisconsin-Superior for Director of Special Education and Pupil Services. Dr. Grimm is an educational leader with over 20 years of experience in fostering student growth and academic success.

He has a diverse background as a teacher, coach and principal at many levels and since 2019, is the current District Administrator for the Winter School District.

There he has led transformative initiatives, including the successful passage of a referendum, strategic facility upgrades, and significant improvements in academic performance.

Corey Peterson earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, and a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Viterbo University in LaCrosse, WI.

Additionally, Corey completed his superintendent and director of instruction licensure programs at Viterbo University. Mr. Peterson began his journey in education in 2001 at Neillsville High School where he was a social studies teacher and coached cross country and track and field.

He also taught social studies and coached in West Salem. Since that time he was the 7-12. Principal and Athletic Director for the Greenwood School District, and for the last 13 years has been the PK-8 Principal and Curriculum Coordinator in the Melrose-Mindoro School District.

As part of the selection process the two finalists will participate in candidate forums with the School District of Neillsville’s families, staff, students and community members on March 3, 2025 in the PIT at Neillsville High School.

The day in the district will provide an opportunity to meet both candidates and ask questions. All interested families, staff, students, and community members are invited to participate and provide feedback to the school board on each candidate through an online, confidential response form.

The forums will be moderated by a representative from Hazard, Young Attea & Associates, an education consulting firm hired by the Board in November of 2024 to assist with the District Administrator search.

As part of the Day in the District process the board will be conducting final interviews with each candidate. The board hopes to announce the next district administrator in mid March, with an anticipated start date of July 1, 2025.
