(Mike Leischner, WSAU) The 26-year-old accused of killing his father has been formally charged in court.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Jason Tourtillott appeared in a Wood County courtroom on Monday where a judge found probable cause and ordered him to remain in jail on a $1 million bond.
He’s accused of killing Thomas Tourtillott nearly four years ago in his home in Nekoosa. Officers immediately named Jason a person of interest, but he wasn’t arrested until late January. It’s unclear what evidence led them to press forward with charges.
Jason Tourtillott also entered a not guilty plea during Monday’s appearance. Further court action is scheduled for May 23rd.
