In January 2021, the City of Marshfield took an important step in safeguarding our community by confirming the presence of the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB), an invasive insect that poses a significant threat to our ash trees.

To empower residents with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions regarding the management of ash trees on their private properties, they are excited to share an informative fact sheet created by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources. This resource offers valuable insights into the impact of EAB, its biology, the signs and symptoms to watch for, and effective management strategies.

For those seeking additional information, we invite you to explore the EAB resources available on the Forestry Division webpage HERE or reach out to the City Forester at 715-486-2073.
