Special Screening of Film FEBRUARY by Wisconsin Filmmaker Coming to Roger's Cinema February 10th

The independent film FEBRUARY, directed by Wisconsin filmmaker Nathan Deming, is set to reach audiences across Wisconsin this coming February with a special screening tour across the state.

Part of his "Year Project," a 12-part series based on the months of the year, set entirely in Wisconsin, FEBRUARY is the 2nd installment and offers a unique perspective on the state, exploring the lives of Latino immigrants, often unseen in our state, and the very Wisconsin tradition of ice fishing.

Fresh from its recognition at the Wisconsin Film Festival with a Golden Badger award, FEBRUARY invites viewers into an authentic, character-driven cinematic experience inspired by the people and culture of our state.

Each screening will be a special event with a live Q&A session with the filmmaker and occasional special guests, offering WI audiences a chance to engage directly with a locally made film and series.

FEBRUARY tells the story of Miguel (David Ezekiel Duran), a recent immigrant to a small town in Wisconsin. Struggling to adjust to life in his new environment, Miguel clashes with his sister (Nayeli Hernandez) and her husband (Erick Inestroza).

When a mysterious co-worker (Richie Gordon) invites him to experience ice fishing, Miguel embarks on a night on the ice he will never forget. The “Year Project” is a 12-part anthology series based on the months of the year, set entirely in Wisconsin and written & directed by Nathan Deming.

FEBRUARY will screen for free in cities and small towns across the state, including Madison, Eau Claire, La Crosse, Appleton, and more including in Marshfield at Roger’s Cinema on February 10th at 6pm.
