Loyal Man Arrested for Retail Theft and Possession

A Loyal man was arrested for retail theft and possession.

According to a report from the Marshfield Police Department, on Sunday, February 2nd, at 2:25pm, they received a report of a retail theft in progress at the Walmart in Marshfield.

The suspect failed to pay for merchandise, walked past the last point of sale, and loaded the merchandise into his vehicle. During this process a verbal altercation was caused by the suspect when the suspect was confronted about his actions.

A traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle and the suspect, a 22-year-old Loyal man was arrested. The male was transported back to Marshfield PD where booking procedures were done and he was released.

Charges of Disorderly Conduct, Retail Theft and Possession of THC will be requested through Marathon County DA's Office.
